Description

We travel on board a class 156 working the 16.05 from Mallaig to Fort William on the 22nd of May 2025 in some superb weather.

This very scenic journey leaves Mallaig and heads for Morar and Arisaig before heading inland past Beasdale and Lochailort. The line skirts alongside Loch Eilt and then climbs up to Glenfinnan before heading over the iconic Glenfinnan viaduct. With stunning views of Ben Nevis we pass alongside Loch Eil  before heading over the Caledonian canal at Banavie and finally arriving into Fort William.
