Description

We travel with West Coast Railways in the cab of 97303, working Pathfinder tours ‘Cambrian Coast Express’ on the 12th of September 2025.

This very scenic journey branches off at Sutton Bridge Junction and passes through Welshpool and Newtown before heading to Talerddig summit. The line then descends to Machynlleth and Dovey Junction before running along the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline. We head over Barmouth viaduct and pass through Porthmadog and Criccieth before arriving at Pwllheli.
