Rather improbably, some 45 years later, I now have the pleasure of working from the splendid, fully restored Carnforth station where Tele Rail is now based. Back then, the thought of being able to save this remarkable station and transform it into a thriving heritage centre and working station would have seemed fanciful to say the least.
