Description

We travel with Scotrail in the cab of a HST on the 10.08 to Inverness on the 29th of May 2026.

Our journey starts in Aberdeen and joins the double track section at Berryden Junction.  We then pass Dyce and also the recently opened in 2020, Kintore station. At Inverurie its back to single line for the scenic run to Insch, which still has its semaphores and signal box. Also, with traditional signals we pass Huntly and Keith before arriving at Elgin. The final section we head through Forres and Nairn and then we pass the 2023 opened Inverness Airport station before arriving at Inverness.
