Telerail in the Cab Volume 27 – Willesden DC Rail Sidings to Chessington South
Enjoy a unique experience as we join the crew for this unusual route through some busy parts of the London suburban network hauling a heavy train load of aggregates.
Travel alongside the driver of 6O15 12.01 Willesden DC Rail Sidings to Chessington South service on the 3rdOctober 2023 hauled by DC Rail 56091 & 56301.
After departing from Willesden this interesting route passes through Kensington Olympia before crossing the River Thames on Battersea railway bridge.
After waiting at Clapham Junction, the train powers away and passes Balham before branching off at Streatham north and south junctions and then heading for Wimbledon. We again leave the mainline at Raynes Park before heading onto the Chessington line at Motspur Park Junction, finally reaching our destination at Chessington South where the heavy cargo of aggregates are unloaded.
With thanks to DC Rail for their co-operation
