Many regular Telerail customers have told us that their transport interests are not confined solely to railways. Just like rail travel scheduled ferry services offer a chance to sample real everyday life while on the move. One of the most interesting regular journeys must be the daily Hurtigruten service up and down the coast of Norway.
Of course it’s possible to use the ships as a convenient way to reach different areas, or for a first time visit the ten day round trip is a great introduction to the dramatic scenery of Norway.
The standard of food and facilities are exceptional and put this service in a class of its own when compared to most ferry services.
The Journey Begins
During the course of every year the Telerail crew spend many hours ‘on the road’ searching out the very best locations for our programmes. We are often asked about some of these spots, and where we stay while we are on location.
This new part of our web site is being developed to share this unbiased information for the benefit of all our customers.
All the reviews on these pages are based solely on our own experiences as normal paid for customers, and none of the accommodation featured on this site has been sponsored in any way.
These reviews are not meant as an exhaustive guide more as a ‘thank you’ to some of the places we have visited and also stayed at, that we hope you may find useful.
