Hawes Inn, South Queensferry, EDINBURGH

  Situated in a unique position, literally underneath the magnificent Forth Railway bridge this historic Inn can provide excellent accommodation and food for a different hotel experience when visiting Edinburgh. It’s claimed that the famous author Robert Louis Stevenson, stayed in the Inn and actually wrote part of the famous novel ‘Kidnapped’ in one of the rooms. In fact the book actually includes a passage about the Hawes Inn. The rooms, while not particularly modern are perfectly adequate although the trains noise at first seems pretty loud, there are no overnight services to disturb your sleep.
