This tape features a driver’s view of the journey from Altrincham to Manchester Piccadilly.  An informative commentary describes the route as it was in December 1990.  Work on the conversion of the line to Metrolink was in hand but many features, including signalling, track layouts and signal boxes remained unaltered at that time.

This fascinating programme puts the viewer in the driver’s seat and uniquely records a piece of railway history at a time of great change.
