Considering
the small geographic size of Belgium, the country as a whole
offers an unrivalled selection of interest for the modern
traction enthusiast. This
programme features many of the most interesting classes at
work throughout the length and breadth of Belgium.
Also spotlighted is the wide variety of freight
traffic that works in Belgium, as well as many main line and
less well known branch line operations.

traffic including flows from Antwerp docks, iron ore to
Luxembourg, timber to Italy, the freight only branches from
Gent to Terneuzen, and the freight only line from Diestto
Tessenderlo.
Local
passenger services on the attractive Athus-Meuse line,
on the newly electrified single track Quiévrain branch.
International
trains including cross border services between Brussels
and Amsterdam, plus Eurostar and TGV services.
Preserved
diesel action on the fascinating Mariembourg to Treignes
route, also the Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des Trois Vallees
from Dinant to Glvet.
Main
line passenger services from Brussels to Oostende, plus
services around Antwerp.
Preserved
main line steam featuring 29.013, 1.002 & 12.004
Shed
visit to the busy Antwerp Dam motive-power depot and a
cab ride on a class 51 diesel.
Scenic
highlights including the Dinant to Bertrix section, and
the Liège to Gouvy line also Moresnet viaduct, close to the
German border. As
well as a close look at Antwerp station.
