The
Gavin Morrison Collection
Volume 2
1964 -1966
Gavin Morrison needs no introduction to
most railfans – his evocative photographs of British steam
during the glory days are justifiably well known and loved
throughout the world. However, few people realise that Gavin
Morrison is also a talented film cameraman, and while out
photographing steam he often turned his attention to producing
a superb high quality film record as well.
Much of the footage in this brand new series has never been
viewed publicly before – and certainly not in this unique
form. The Gavin Morrison Collection is a highly original
chronological series, spanning the years from 1962 to the
early years of preservation after the end of main line steam
in 1968. These superb programmes give a fresh and stunning new
insight into the glorious years of steam, and will quickly
grow to become one of the most important archive series ever
produced.
This
wonderful evocative collection moves onto the years between
1964 and 1966 and features some of the rapidly diminishing
variety of steam that could still be found working then.
